Double Vine Wreath

I thought this was different. I have not seen this one before. A very easy project with an high style result.

They purchased two grapevine wreaths and wired them together and tied with ribbon.

Sheaves of wheat and sprigs of grape leaves adorn this wreath.

Here again you can use any type of flowers of leaves that you prefer.

The "Ivin's " Pond

Bill and I went fishing. We went to the Ivin's Pond. It was much nicer than yesterday.
Bill caught 5 fish !!! The one he is holding was much bigger in person. I got one, and got so excited I forgot to take a picture of it .

We had a good time. We packed a lunch and enjoyed the nice weather .

Door Headboard

A solid old door, refinished and hung sideways becomes a perfect and perfectly inexpensive headboard for a bed. Check yard sales and flea markets for doors. A strip of crown molding along the top edge offers a neat finish .

How to :

Trim the bottom or top of the door so the rails are equal in width;on most old doors, the bottom rail is thicker than the others. A standard height door will be tall enough for any size bed.

Sand, prime and paint the door

To mount the headboard, cut a 1x4 to the headboards width, and then cut it lengthwise on a 45 degree angle into two equal strips. Securely screw one strip to the back of the door and attach the second to the wall, so the angles interlock to hang the headboard.

Keep the bottom of the headboard the same distance from the wall by screwing a 1 inch thick strip to the back.

Finish the top of the headboard by nailing on a mitered crown molding

Good way to recycle something that would have been destroyed.

Skyline Pond St George Utah

There is this little pond in St George, that Bill and I have fished before and have had some luck.
So today we tried, and the water level was down, and I don't think they have stocked it in awhile.

But we tried, and it was a beautiful day. There were some ducks, and they were having a great time.

Tomorrow we are going to Hurricane and try their pond. Wish us luck !!!
