Shoe Bag Organizer

This might be something you would want to whip up before that long drive to Grandma's house. It keeps things in your car tidy and within reach.

This 16 pocket organizer was cut in half and hemmed at the bottom. A ribbon loop at the top is hung over the back of the front seat. Long ribbons stitched to the bottom corners reach around the seat back and tie in the front.

The pockets can hold cassette players, and headphones, playing cards, coloring books and pens, a flashlight, and a few favorite friends.

Zesty Hot Holiday Broccoil Dip

Here's another great dish to serve at your next get together. Really simple, also.

Ingredients:

1 cup miracle whip dressing
1 package frozen chopped broccoli, thawed well drained
1 jar diced pimentos, drained
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese, divided
Crackers

Make it

Heat oven to 350 Combine first 4 ingredients and 1/2 cup mozzarella

Spread into 1 quart baking dish or 9 inch pie plate

Bake 20-25 minutes or until heated through. Sprinkle with remaining cheese, bale 5 minutes or until melted. Serve with crackers

Pine cone Cheese Spread

I thought this was was attractive to serve at your Christmas Eve party. Very simple to put together.

Ingredients:

1 package cream cheese softened
1 package Mexican style finely shredded four cheese
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons chopped green chile's
1/3 cup Sliced almonds toasted
Crackers

Make it

Process first 3 ingredients in food processor until well blended Stir in chile's

Shape into 4 inch oval sheet of waxed paper to resemble pine cone. Insert nuts in rows to completely cover the cream cheese mixture. Transfer to serving plate.

Refrigerate 2 hours. Remove from refrigerator 15 minutes before serving. Serve with crackers.

Hostess Gift

This is a great recipe for granola. Makes great hostess and neighbor gifts.

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cups old fashioned rolled oats
6 tablespoon butter
1/3 cup brown sugar
1-2 tablespoons honey
1/2 cup pecans
1/2 cup cranberries
1/2 cup walnuts
1/4 cup grated coconut
1 tablespoon ginger

Get Cookin'

In a wide pan over low heat,add olive oil and rolled oats. Lightly toast. Remove from pan and set aside in separate baking dish

Then, melt butter,brown sugar, and honey over low heat.

When mixture begins to bubble,add pecans,cranberries, walnuts,coconut, and ginger. Heat, add in toasted oats.

Spread mixture on a baking sheet with tinfoil to cool.

Winter Welcome Mat

I thought this was a good idea for winter.

You need:

Brown grass mat/painters tape/Craft knife/green latex paint/blue latex paint/white latex paint/1/2 inch dowel rod

How to:

Cover entire mat except a 2 inch border, with painters tape.With a craft knife cut and remove a triangle shape from the tape to create a treetop shape.

Apply 3 coats of the green paint. Let dry. Then tape over border and treetop, add tape where tree trunk should be.Spray mat with 3 coats of blue paint. Let dry. To add snowflakes, use a 1/2 dowel dipped in the white paint. Scatter around.
