Slow Cooker Picante Braised Short Ribs

These fall off the bone ribs slow cook all say in a spicy sauce with just a touch of sweetness.
You need
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
4 pounds bone in beef short ribs cut into serving sized pieces
1 large onion sliced
2 cloves garlic crushed
1 jar Picante Sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons all purpose flour
Heat oil in skillet add beef in 2 batches and cook until well browned on all sides
Place onion and garlic into slow cooker. Top with the beef. Stir the Picante Sauce and brown sugar in a bowl. Pour Picante sauce mixture over the beef
Cover and cook on low for 8-9 hours or until beef is fork tender Remove the beef from the cooker and keep warm
Stir the flour in the cooker Increase the heat to high. cover and cook for 10 minutes or until the mixture boils and thickens Serve the sauce over the beef
