This is a side recipe for your Thanksgiving dinner. Start to finish 25 minutes, and you start with fresh green beans.
Ingredients:
2 1/4 pounds fresh green beans
3 slices bacon
1 medium onion
3 gloves minced garlic
4 teaspoons brown mustard
3/4 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning
1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions:
Wash and trim fresh beans. Cook uncovered in a large saucepan with a small amount of boiling water for 20-25 minutes or until crisp tender Drain beans and rinse with cold water
Meanwhile cook bacon until crisp. Remove bacon from pan,reserve drippings in skillet. Drain bacon on paper towels,crumble and set aside. Cook onion and garlic in drippings over medium heat . Stir in mustard, seasoning. Cook about 30 seconds more. Toss beans with onion mixture heat through. Sprinkle with bacon.
