I think we have all roasted a turkey at one time or another,but I have a recipe to perk up the ordinary bird.
You will need: 5 tablespoons butter at room temperature
1 tablespoon each chopped fresh rosemary,sage, and thyme
Coarse salt and ground pepper
Now you prepare your turkey and stuff then loosen the skin; Working from the neck end, slide fingers under the skin until you reach the end of the breast being careful not to tear the skin;rub herb butter under the skin.
This recipe is enough for a 12 lb. turkey.
I think you will enjoy the difference it makes.
