Removing Wax Spots

Clean hardened wax drips on tables by blow drying on low for several seconds. Scrape away warm wax with the edge of a credit card, and wipe away any residue. One way to treat wax on tablecloths is with boiling water;stretch fabric taut across a colander and secure with a rubber band. Place colander in a deep sink;peel as much wax from surface as possible.Pour boiling water over wax covered area. The wax will liquefy and wash away.

Another way to remove wax from linens, scrape off spilled wax with a dull knife. Put several layers of kraft paper under the linen, then place a sheet of kraft paper on top of stain. Using low heat, iron until wax is drawn into the paper, moving the paper around until all the wax is gone. If an oily spot remains on the linen have the cloth dry cleaned.
