Silver Care

Now that the holidays are over, we are all wondering what to do with our fine silver. Silver develops a coal black coat of tarnish if not properly cared for. This fabric soft cotton flannel treated with zinc, can be bought by the yard at fabric stores.

This flatware roll is made from two pieces 12x 13 1/2 inches and the other 10x10 Sew 1/4 inch hem on one side of the smaller piece, this will be the top edge of the pocket. Align bottom right corners of both pieces, then hem remaining edges. Top stitch parallel seams to make pockets, each 1/2 inch wider and 1/2 inch shorter than the piece of flatware.Hand stitch an 18 inch piece of ribbon to the outside of the roll.3 inches from the left edge,to tie it up.
